This is a boss mechanics guide for the challenge tale "Wastelands Assembly" more known as "FoB" courtesy of its old name "Fest of Battles"

Wasteland Assembly has 3 bosses:

First boss : Gong Jian (the swordsman)

- He'll jump up and disappear for a few seconds 3 times marking his phases.

- First phase at around 90%, he'll freeze a player and other players will need to go close to frozen player and click the button to free them.

- Second phase at around 70%, he'll summon a purple circle AOE in each player so players need to go away from each other and do block.

- Third phase at around 50%, he'll do the swordsman AOE and players will need to gather together to reduce its damage as it can be shared.

- Later, he'll stop those jumping phases and will instead start alternating these phases, sometimes does them randomly depending on dps.


Second Boss : Tang Rong (the enchanter)

- At around 80%, she'll disappear and mark farthest target from her with a purple X and then summon a puppet.

- The puppet will follow marked target. Puppet damage can be avoided as long as target keeps jumping and remaining in air. The marked target needs to move the puppet away from other players because, after a while the puppet will transform to a big AOE spinning blades that deal strong DoT in the zone.

- The boss will keep doing this mark and puppet mech a while after every time the puppet turns into the blade AOE till her next phase.

- All other players aside from the marked target, will get the life/death mechanic. They'll be silenced taking DoT damage till they do this mech. It gives them a life/death button that keeps switching quickly between life and death. You have to click life because, otherwise, death triggers a strong damaging AOE to you and anyone close to you. If you're not confident about doing it correctly, try to stay away from your team mates before clicking anything so you won't risk their lives if you mess up and click death.

- At around 40% hp, she starts going to the next phase where she throws pins at some of the team members. Pins paralyze players affected while causing them strong DoT damage. Other players need to pull the pins quickly off others before they die.

- Those who picked the pin off others get a skill that dazes Tang Rong. This you'll need to save for later whens he does a big red circular AOE.

- On pin phase , the boss will stop spawning puppet mech. (Except on hero mode)


Third Boss : Han Ying (the guardian)

- She'll summon lots of soldier adds at first, those are easy, just AOE.

- At around 90% or so she'll summon an infantry general. The team needs to pull that general away from boss if the dps is strong and damage the general alone. When the infantry general dies, he drops a shield. A player needs to pick this shield. This will give them shield skill which is needed for next phase.

- At around boss hp 70% or so, she'll summon archers who will bombard the area with many red AOEs that hit very strong consistent damage all over the area. The player with the shield needs to cast the shield skill and the rest of the team need to remain inside the shield area to avoid the damage. If your team has good DPS, you can do the shield on boss and only focus the boss. If team does not have good dps then do shield on Archer general and focus and kill archer general ASAP first.

- At boss 50% hp, she'll end archer bombardment phase and start cavalary phase which summons cavalary that do line AOE. Whoever was using shield item can drop it now since its not needed anymore at that point.

- If you killed archer general earlier, he drops a bow item which a team member can pick giving them a spammable ranged bow attack. This you'll need to kill cavalry general quick on cavalary phase. Cavalry general drops horse which you'll need for next phase.

- At boss hp 25% or so, she'll summon shield phalanx which will guard her giving her a shield greatly reducing her damage taken. To remove that shield quickly, a player will need to use the horse to charge at her killing the guards around her and hence removing her shield and rendering her in weakened state.

Hero mode boss mechanics variation:

All the bosses mechs in FoB are mostly the same in hero mode but there are some differences which I'll mention next:

For first boss:

- On hero mode, he'll jump and disappear from map one last time at around 20% hp or such and then he'll summon many swords. Players need to kill all swords before timer runs out so they won't receive strong AOE damage and wipe.

For second boss:

- On hero mode, puppet mech will still keep going on even during pin phase so she'll continue to mark the farthest target every time which can also get pinned sometimes on pin phase.

- Also on hero mode, 2 people will need to use pin skill to daze her rather than just 1

For third boss:

- On hero mode, after removing the shield and rendering boss in weakened state, she'll wake up in a few seconds and go berserk greatly increasing her damage over time so the faster you kill her at this point the better.

- For that , it is recommended to save team damage mastery buffs like flame blade as well as ultimates till her shield is broken and she's weakened. At weakened state, she takes more damage than normal so its best to make the most out of this situation so you won't have to fight her for long on her dangerous berserk phase after.
