At the age of 1, Emperor Taizong named him Hong and conferred him the title of Prince's Heir.

At the age of 6, he performed alongside the children of the nobles to celebrate Emperor Taizong's birthday, and came out on top. Emperor Taizong ordered Prince Zhao Heng to call him his elder brother.

At the age of 9, the Dragon's Thrust occurred. Taizong suspected that Huyan Xian wanted to rebel for the sake of Chai Rong's descendants. The emperor imprisoned the whole clan of Huyan.

At the age of 10, he entered Dragon Valley with Shen Hai and changed his name to Shen Hong. He practiced the martial art of The Sea and Universe along with others passed down by the other 2 Shen lineages.

At the age of 16, he took over as the master of Dragon Valley. Under his order, the valley was sealed off from the outside world.

At the age of 17, he defeated the 3 major houses of horse thieves pestering the Silk Road. In the same year, he formed the troop of Dragon Shadow guards and selected the first batch of candidates in person.

At the age of 19, he founded a merchant group in the name of Elder Affluence. In the same year, he subdued the Duan family

At his age of 25, the 17 counties in the Western Regions made a treaty with the Duan family to acknowledge the latter as their sole trade partner. Since then, Duan family has monopolized the Silk Road.

At the age of 32, he partnered with the Horizon Fleet to build the giant ship "Magnolia". Later, he assisted the Zhu family to establish the Merchant League.

At the age of 37, he reunited with Jiang Shan, his brother. Lan Zheng invited him to make a comeback. He restored the Azure Dragon, dividing the Jianghu into 2 major parts.
