What can be done to resolve QuickBooks error 6143?

The error is generally associated with the company file issues and can be fixed by running the File Doctor tool. Follow the steps given below to download the QuickBooks Tool Hub and run the tool:

  • Close QuickBooks.
  • Download the QuickBooksToolHub.exe file.
  • Open the file you have downloaded.
  • Start installing the QuickBooks Tool Hub by following the prompt steps.
  • To proceed, agree to the terms and conditions.
  • Once the install completes, open the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
  • Select the Company File Issues tab.
  • Click Run QuickBooks File Doctor.
  • Select your company file from the drop-down list.
  • If you can’t find the file, click Browse and search to find it.
  • Enter the password when prompted.
  • Let the tool run.

2. 3. Enter Company Name as your first choice, then click Save.
4. Rename the saved QuickBooks file to your desired name.
5. Now open the QuickBooks file that has been renamed.
6. Follow the instructions provided by the QuickBooks Support team.
